Ukraine's President Vladimir Zelensky is an extraordinary figure for Ukraine. There has not been a type like him in Ukrainian history that I can discover, certainly not in post-war. If he had chosen a ride rather than ammunition, we would be looking at a very different circumstance. The challenge that he presents will be whether the qualities that were needed to rally society will serve him as well when it comes to making peace.
