The Role of Genomes in Adaptation to Climate Change
When we looked at the microchromosomes in comparison to the macro ones, especially the very large ones, we found that they diverge faster between the two species. The genome being so conserved means that they have this evolutionary stability. But then on the flip side, if you also look at their past demographic history, we can see that this diversity appears to have been low over a very long time.
