The Benefits of Symbiotic Plants

We've been through about probably three big droughts in our career here and I'm talking D4 or longer droughts. This time we actually ran the profile completely out before it started raining and we actually had some crops failing. But that's the first time that we've really seen complete failures due to lack of rain. That is intriguing. One of the questions that comes to mind is are there any particular patterns that you've observed of when we think about symbiotic plants and plants having these symbiotic relationships with each other? Or is it just generally simply diversity? We see that from time to time as we mix and match our mixes.
