Is Consciousness Important?

Elanmuk: We have this assumption that consciousness is important. But why do we sume that consciousness is good? It just is. And why do we assume that consciousness is that thing that makes us special and magic and spiritual and e most important creatures? W what if it's just one of the things we do? Why is your consciousness important but not your eyesight, or your ability to hear, or your able to o do math or something? So it could be thet reality requires consciousness, like a three d printer requires the physical form of the printer as well as the material going into it.
