David wants to number the people of Israel and Joab, his actual right-hand guy, is saying, I don't, this is not a good idea,. But David insists and wants toNumber the people. He's doing something evil in the sight of the Lord because he's establishing himself rather than establishing God. We'll talk more about that in Second Samuel.
