Introduction

David Johnston is Vice President of Asset Protection and Retail Operations at the National Retail Federation. He started his career as a part time detective in a department store before moving into private security, where he became fascinated with shoplifters. After eight years leading Duncan brands' global loss prevention program, David was promoted to NRF's VP of LP operations this past November. The next two weeks will be devoted to talking about current priorities and challenges in the retail lost prevention and asset protection community.
