The Dangers of Fentanyl

Fentanyl is so powerful that it affects your respiratory system. We have this thing called naloxone or the brand name is Narcan. It's a drug which you just could administer up the nose. And that has been used quite successfully, but now we have a new threat. New drug called xylazine is coming into effect and can prolong the high off fentanyl. The downside is it's actually not an opioid. That means it doesn't respond to Narcan, the overdose reversal drug. So it really complicates the way that you can revive people who are suffering overdose.
