The Signs of Cirrhosis in the Hands
When as a hepatologist, when I look at labs on someone I'm suspecting might have advanced liver disease or chronic liver disease, the platelet count being low is like an immediate red flag. That's one of the big physical exam things that I think people overlook when they're seeing these patients. But when you look at the presentation that you gave, there's nothing that's extremely jumping out of cirrhosis except for one thing. And that's the platele count.
