A lot of people need some time to recover in order to be able to come back and work hard again. Not only does testosterone make effort feel good, effort increases testosterone. Getting into some degree of forward center of mass can start to trigger some of the pathways related to these hormones or neuromodulators. If you're coming off of a hard-bout of work and you're starting to relax into some cold water, you would be wise to still do cyclic hyperventilation.
