The Randomisation of Trauma Patients
1310 patients randomised. The characteristics of the patients were fairly typical for trauma patients. Mechanism of injury in Australia and New Zealand was not a lot of penetrating trauma. Median vital signs, 38% with a blood pressure less than 75.5 in both groups. And a spread of patients with probably significant brain injury at senior age.
