The Relationship Between Identity and Objects
Most of the identities that matter most to people on a day-to-day basis have nothing to do with such big concepts as nationality or ethnicity. When you're outside the country, however, national identity becomes a much more salient characteristic. Culture is defined by a whole matrix of characteristics, some material, some intangible, all of them interacting and intersecting in complex ways. These things are particularly important particularly relevant to the beginning of the European Iron Age.
