In 1984, Leonard Nimoy extolled the virtues of laser disk players. Early machines could cost around $1,000 or around $4,500 when adjusted for inflation. The hit series claimed to fame is back on ABC and hosted by superstar brothers Kevin and Franklin Jonas.
