The Power of the Market Process
In a democracy if you don't participate you potentially get nothing. And I think that's a very interesting essay in the price. By not buying and by not doing anything you are dictating something about the price this is a very, very powerful feature of markets. In participating in an economy or participating in an exchange what the individual should actually try to do is to soothe their inner uneasiness. So here's Mises this great intellectual and he's like well I think what's motivating most people is to vaguely kind of modify this this feeling of the needs that they have. That takes us to another one of the axons which is that in many circumstances individuals prefer leisure.
