Preston: I think Christians in the church have done things that have been very harmful toward LGBTQ people. He says we need to separate correlation from causation just like eating only vegetables causes you to hate Jewish people and many other people. "I don't think believing that sex differences part of marriage is intrinsically harmful, even though Christians who hold that view have done harm," he adds. 'If a gay person's in a church or in a home environment where their parents believe in a traditional view of marriage, and they're loving towards the kid'
