Paul's First Northland and Derby Goal

Tottenham's Paul Scholes made his debut against Arsenal on September 10, 1988. He set Chris Waddle up for Tottenham's first goal but the Gunners went on to win 3-1 at White Heart Lane. After the match he decided to make a joke of it and sent a lackey into Wimbledon changing room with a single red rose. Venables saw him do this and gave him a thumbs up from his car. The press were in raptures - maybe today wasn't such a disaster after all.
