The Importance of Forgiveness
Forgiveness is a complicated thing and the need to forgive oneself is certainly part of it. But what I'm hearing there as well is the need to be assured of God's forgiveness, which is the context in which we learn to forgive ourselves. There are lots of things we can do which have lasting damaging, horrible effects. However, learning that nevertheless, one of the great biblical words, but God nevertheless,. really can make a huge difference.
