The Government's Contract Changes Threaten Irreparable Damage to General Practice
The BMAGP Committee in England held an emergency meeting to decide whether to ballot the profession on taking industrial action. The government imposed contract changes for the second year in a row. They warned that it could push some practices to the brink of their existence. But what's become clear from the comments I've had from the GP Committee this week is that the talks are not about changing the current contract, but about the future contract.
