Theodosius's Extortion

Viktor Trasan's mother, Irina, was murdered in Soviet Moldova. Investigators were unable to identify the victim so they used a new tactic. They put a photograph of her head on national television and hoped someone would recognise it. The photo revealed that she had been killed as part of an extortion plot. But investigators still didn't know how or whyIrina had been targeted. A few days later another package arrived at their front door. It contained two severed heads with glass spheres inserted into them. Viktor recognised his mother from the picture but could not find out where she was.
