I cringe when people say Islam is a religion of peace immediately after a terrorist attack. I just think there's such a massive gap between those two extreme positions in the middle where most Muslims will actually fit. Yes, but what I'm hearing from what you were talking about is that Islam is kind of the problem. The faith itself is the problem. Aspects of the faith are definitely the problem. And they have to be loosened in one way or the other to be able to change the self.
