How to Speak English With a French Accent

I've heard that one way to learn the accents of a language is by using your native accent. So for example, speaking English with a French accent and then trying to speak French would be an even quicker route. I think what I might suggest instead would be to sort of corral that group of sounds, because you can. You can find out exactly what phonemes are going to be used in the language that you're learning. And then speak gibberish, like a nonsense that uses those sounds. That might be an even quick route, keeping it very physical, but not being tempted by the sounds of your own language.
