The Differences in J and E

J seems to be much more a kind of permissive and forgiving. Whereas e is much more morally stringent. People who do wrong are punished. And these differences in a moral outlook possibly coincide and reinforce the geographic differences. So there may be this kind of political subtext to the differences in j and e.
