Do You Think Philosophy Helps With Practical and Emotional Difficulties?
I find theory building, system building boring. I now find the practical difficulties of ordinary life more interesting. How much is it a matter of a shift of interest and how much of it is a change of mind about what other philosophers should be doing? So in other words, do you think we should all be turning to self-help or something like self-help... Is that an inclination of yours? That's one thing I was thinking. The other thing I'm thinking is whether what's your confidence that your interest hasn't simply shifted?
