Is There a Second Hit of Non-Compaction Cardiomyopathy?

Non-compaction cardiomyopathy is this trifecta of really bad things, right? Heart failure, Molydyn arrhythmia with the possibility of sudden death case endpoint. And systemic embolism with the risk of stroke and other emboli. The rate of these events is not dissimilar from people with advanced dilated cardiomyopathies. There are markers that can maybe help guide the hypertrivaculation morphology with reduced injection fraction on CMR. But again, there's a lot of potential for study for those interested in non-compaction.
