Designing Error Messages
Todd: I always, you know, suggest that use a visible label because then you have the piece where somebody may not know what that form field is for. Error messages should be visible and should be announced with a screen reader. And it shouldn't be based on just color. On a very long form, for instance, have that error message up at the top. So then if somebody needs to scroll back through, they can start from the top and work their way down.
