Is There a Connection Between What You're Working on and What You Did Five Years Ago?
I'm afraid that this will take us in 17 different directions, of course. But I've been thinking about quite a lot recently because we've been getting more tools to measure metacognition. And there is kind of a magic that happens if you just kind of keep your head down and keep moving forward. It's easy to look back and start to see a narrative thread connect different things you've done but it's very hard to see that thread at the time. With experience like a little bit more experience means that you just have that slightly more bird's eye view and you can see everything being a bit more interconnected.
