The Dancer's Voice

The first or the earliest and the longest working title for this book was not the dancer's voice but was mythical quarters in modern life. The sonic scapes were critical to the understanding of cultures of caste based and racialized embodiment that continue to fashion Indian citizenship. Even in like the earliest phases of this project I saw a doubling that was happening for women who you can also speak to us about the sonic scapes.
