Bridle is a set of straps put around the horse's head and mouth so that the person riding or driving the horse can control it. You need er, the horse to come from a family of other good horses, a steed of pure green stock. So clearly, this is a very strong and powerful horse, but the rider had him reined. It's each snort and shudder strained the hand stitched bridle. Every time the horse moved or did something, it strained the bridle.
