Is It OK to Make a Figurine?
The figure continues to be quite problematic, depending on where you are. Even if we're looking at Islamic art, it was always the case that in terms of secular art, it didn't pertain. So there was always a kind of distinction between what was allowed in certain context and what wasn't. Over the centuries, it's been very much something of personal preference in certain contexts.
