The Fed's Official Target for Inflation
I think we can see the pace of disinflation pick up over the remainder of this year and on into 2024. That is going to be a multi-year process to get inflation back down to where it averages 2%. But we think that the Fed will be able to live with something closer to a 2.5% even if that official target is not going to change.
