In 1999, just before Curtis' second trial, their house burned down. Lola and Archie were out of town in Memphis when it happened. Their daughter was sleeping over at their house with some of their grandkids. After the fire, someone told her that they'd heard something from a white person in town. But somebody said they heard it, say if they let that nigga go, another house gonna burn.
