How Do You Feel When You Have to Go to the Back of a Bus?
When she lived in Iran, one of the things that as an American citizen was really hard for me was I would take a bus to work in central Tehran. The women's section and the men's section of the public transportation was cut off by a metal pole. And so that's a very subtle way of keeping people down and telling people that not only are they not worth anything, but that they are cattle being pushed to the back of a vehicle.
