Is There a Grounding in Machine Learning?
I'm really interested in this idea of grounding. And you can think of how this would create or could create vulnerabilities, right? Like we based on our perception of the world, we know that like a bird belongs in a tree,. But then if I put like a car in a tree, we have the sort of common sense to reason that that's odd. So language models and speech technology moving forward is going to be very multimodal was kind of how he was thinking about that.
