What's the Backstory on Artemis?
The Romans loved inscriptions and it's such a gift to Bible scholars. One scholar estimates there are half a million of them that we haven't drawn on. In the same way English doesn't have a word for an older woman who has never been married, Greek didn't either in first century Ephesus.
