Odolf hitler's party, the national socialist german workers party, the n s d a p, grew from two % of the vote to 18% of the vote and picking up 95 seeds. Hitler refused to enter in any talk of joining a coalition government. He was adamant all the other political parties, left and right, had failed germany. As you know from episode 260, heinrich bruning of the centre party remained chancellor, leading a minority government. The prospect of hit ler as chancellor was a straw man. Communists had nothing to fear from a hitler government.
