Heavy industry was a strong advocate of the rikes bank's inflationary policy. Light industry suffered from scarcity and high prices of raw materials. Under these very weird conditions, light industry actually alined with labor to fight against the interests of heavy industry. But guess who won out? The hyper inflation scheme basically ruined germany's middle class.
