The Benefits of Curcumin in Cell Studies

Curcumin is extracted from the turmeric root, but curcumin is poorly absorbed and very quickly excreted or eliminated. Part of the reason why it's been used in food and used in cooking is because synergistically, there's more absorption when it's combined with a lot of those things to increase bioavailability. One of my speculations is that some of these pleomorphic benefits will we discover that there's something rooted in its ability to nuance favorable gene expression.
