The Role of Youth in the Opioid Crisis
Portsmouth is an Ohio River town on the border with Kentucky, some 100 miles southeast of Cincinnati. In recent times, Portsmouth has become in some ways the poster child for the opioid crisis. Its population today is around 18,000, which is less than half of what it had at the height in 1930 when shoe clothing and steel manufacturing dominated the region's economy.
