Why Reason Sensitivity Is Mostly Retrospective

Many of our most significant decisions are justified by reasons that may not explicitly be available to us until well after the fact. In short, reason sensitivity and the reflectively significant sense is mostly retrospective. As a rational animal, I should be on the hunt to make my reasons explicit. But that is mostly done looking back on what I have already done.
