The Life of a Spy of the Civil War, Belle Boyd

Maria Isabel Boyd was born on May 9, 1844 in Bunker Hill, Virginia. She's the first of three surviving children of Benjamin Reed Boyd and Mary Glen Boyd. At least four more children were born, but didn't make it to their third birthday. The story goes like this: A young Belle was told she couldn't attend a party that her parents were throwing because she was too young.
