Is There Any Evidence That It's Coming From Outside the Solar System?
The dust is densest near the sun, and it sort of dies out just around mars. We don't really know what's going on in the outer solar system because we don't have great detectors. Jupiter is like a giant vacuum cleaner,. It like, sucks up everything. A little bit of it probably does come from outside the solar system. These interstellar star grains, these left over bits from the surfaces of stars that formed are floating out there. And you can see grains that were made specifically during super nova - they make thee grains which you can find on earth. So then the origin of this dust must be within our solar system.
