The Price of Sin
The price of sin is our eternal lives, like that when we choose sin, we would choose to disobey God. David's physical death can parallel or at least be a metaphor for spiritual death. We're choosing to spiritually die, and that's not unfair. When we say, God, I don't want you, I want to do what I wants to do, that's what we're saying here.
