The Dangers of Using the Term Pharma
Alex Castellanos: The term pharma is often used to refer to practices that take advantage of the citizenry through capitalism. He says it can stigmatize or dismiss whole fields of research and treatment that save people's lives like every day.Castellanos: While some 74,000 people have surely been harmed or bankrupted by bad medical care, I would say that the vast majority are probably alive through basic evidence-based health care.
