The honeymoon factor varies greatly between different books, so i can't say there is a generic number. Five book that showed consistent, strong sales during their launch received a longer period of thehunting land factor than other books that didn't. I have had it work to a lesser extent or later on in my career when i didn't have as many fans and readers. And honestly, if you can't give it a pretty good push the beginning, it's probably knocking the work to the tent that you hear people talk about. It's really a thing, but it's not going to work with every book.
