How to Teach a Poem

There's a reason this is the most famous poem in the world. You absolutely need to have the students be reading that aloud, or even if you're just reading it with a group of friends and something. That's how people encountered the work for so long was through this spoken word. It's because they had to memorize all this material. And so giving them certain epithets helps the process.
