Westing House vs Edison

In 1884, Edison was working for a company in New York called an a c. The idea that you could capture energy from giants of sources like the niagara falls and then transport it hundreds of miles made him very excited. But edison didn't come up with this technology himself so he decided to launch a full scale p r offensive against them. Inventor nicola tesla worked day and night trying to make direct current motors more efficient. He presented his work to Edison who said "Thanks lot, but i'm not giving hu hi 50 thousand dollars"
