Mildred lived in Berlin with her husband, arvid harnock. The Gestapo raided their apartment at one point during the war. She began communicating in a kind of code to her mother. A boy courier who mildred used was interviewed when he was 89 years old. He said his American parents were naive and thought they were protected.
