Every human being has the is the image of God there's nothing you can do to be more loved or more worthy than you are right now and that is so deeply ingrained. I think we have in evangelical subculture this we've adopted worldly ways of thinking about power and fame and so we worship people totally and absolutely it's just insidious. Just because someone has written a good book does not mean they're more valuable than someone else like Skye Jatani says.
