People have equal voices in democracy not because they're equally smar art, but because we want all of their values and interests to be represented. Game tearists will tell you that this is just asking for trouble in some way, because there's a tragedy of the commons. People are not going to sacrifice their own personal well being just for the sake of the greater good all the time. But i nevertheless think that it's better than the alternatives.
