What Is Associated With Trump's Use of Language?
Trump's ability to take what typically were very smaller, isolated fringe hate speech and hate groups is telling of what we're going to see much more of. The language becomes disconnected from meaning and it becomes pure emotion. It doesn't necessarily mean what we think it means. But it does mean that at the same time, because it's useful for the people where it has a certain meaning. We don't live in a clearly gendered world anymore, more and that creates certain kinds of anxiety.
