Women in Comedy

There are so many more female comics on the circuit now, she says. She thinks there is an inherent lack of confidence being a woman and being funny that you have to overcome - but it's already changing. A lot of TV formats are geared towards funny men in a way that they aren't towards women,. But I think also it's just for me, when I was at uni, I was always a lot more afraid to make jokes socially than say a man was.
